The Mililani High School College and Career Fair was conducted on April 11th. There were many organizations representing colleges, military and the workforce. Workforce partners, military affiliated organizations, and Hawaii based colleges in the cafeteria. All others were located outdoor.
HAPI participated to provide information about the asphalt industry careers and also a career in civil engineering. We not only got to meet the students, but many of the parents as well.
HAPI had our Paving Train Activity to teach the students about the efforts required to resurface a road. Students that successful identify a piece of construction equipment entered a drawing for a $10 Starbucks gift card. Our giveaways included HAPI swag and a career opportunities flyer with job posting from our member companies (see below).
It was great that we were busy with students and parents visiting our table. We also had time to visit with our neighboring organizations.
