HAPI Members Meeting

HAPI members and guests from various government agencies gathered at HAPI’s second meeting of 2012 last month at Seven Palms Bar and Grille.   We were honored to have two guest speakers.  Our first speaker Westley was K.C. Chun, Ph.D., P.E., BCEE is the Director and Chief Engineer of the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Facility Maintenance.  He provided an updated of the City’s pavement preservation program and showed a video of the recent pavement preservation demonstration that was recently conducted.  The video titled “New Road Treatments” can be found at the City’s website (http://www.honolulu.gov/government/).  Our second speaker was Glenn Okimoto, Director of the Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT), who presented projects for HDOT Airports, Harbors and Highways was encouraging for our members.
