“I’d like to thank the community for their patience as Waialae Avenue was restored and improved to make the Kaimuki business district even more livable and vibrant,” said Mayor Caldwell. “We encountered some unexpected challenges, but that’s an example of what happens when core infrastructure is neglected for decades. Maintaining infrastructure is very important for this administration. Now that the repaving is finished, we can enjoy the results, and the new bike lanes and sharrows, well into the future.”
