TRB Announces Four Webinars Featuring the Highway Capacity Manual 2010

The Transportation Research Board will be conducting a series of webinars that will provide an overview of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010. Participants must register in advance of the webinar, and there is a fee for non-TRB Sponsor employees who register for each webinar. A certificate for 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDH) will be provided to attendees who register and attend each webinar as an individual.

The first webinar will be held on October 16, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET and will provide an overview of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010’s new signalized intersection methodology applications and will be presented by Dennis Strong, Strong Concepts and moderated by Brandon Nevers, Kittelson & Associates, Inc.

The second webinar will be held on October 22, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET and will provide an overview of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010’s new multimodal urban streets method as it relates to the auto mode. This webinar will be presented by Dennis Strong, Strong Concepts, and moderated by Matt Kittelson, Kittelson & Associates.

The third webinar will be held on October 31, 2013, from 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. ET and will provide an overview of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010’s new Urban Streets methodology, focusing on the new multimodal level-of-service methods for pedestrians, bicyclists, and transit riders. This webinar will be presented by Kamala Parks and Aaron Elias, Kittelson & Associates.

The fourth webinar will be held on November 20, 2013, from 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. ET and will provide an overview of the Highway Capacity Manual 2010’s unsignalized intersection methodologies. This webinar will be presented by Lee Rodegerdts, Kittelson & Associates, and moderated by Matt Kittelson, Kittelson & Associates.
