In the near future, this may be a benefit for licensed civil engineers. ASCE Hawaii Section supports a model law for the continuing education of licensed professional engineers developed by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Most states use similar provisions to this model law. One such provision is that licensees shall accumulate 15 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) per licensure year. Our PDHs would help fulfill this 15 hour requirement.
