On July 2, Mayor Caldwell announced that work to preserve city roads in Nu‘uanu, Pauoa, and Pacific Heights will begin on July 6, 2015. Slurry seal will be placed on 37 lane miles of city roads which have been designated as appropriate to receive this maintenance treatment. This $1,300,000 contract is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year. HAPI member Alakona Corp. is the contractor.
