We were honored to have Mike Packard, Complete Streets Program Administrator, City and County of Honolulu as our guest speaker. Mike explained that complete streets moves away from streets designed with a singular focus on automobiles towards a design approach that is context-sensitive, multi-modal, and integrated with the community’s vision and sense of place. He provided the location of several completed projects such as Keolu Drive (Kailua), Kamehameha IV Road (Kalihi), and Ulune Street (Aiea).
