This 2-hour workshop will discuss the use of geosynthetics to maximize the life of asphalt concrete pavements through design and construction. Topics may include the following:
• Reconstruction/New Construction – Subgrade improvement of reconstruction/new construction pavements
• Reconstruction/New Construction – Pavement optimization, life extension and structural section reduction
• Rehabilitation – Overlay design, reinforcing layers, waterproofing layers
• Drainage – Horizontal drainage design, horizontal geosynthetics
