Contractors face ethical challenges every day. Ethical issues can and should be raised when considering business actions and decisions. Contractors and their business partners should be aware of the impact of their choices and how the underlying ethical issues can not only affect their reputation inside and outside of their organizations, but affect their organizational “soul.” Despite ever-increasing attention paid to internal controls, ethical behavior, and fraud avoidance in the construction industry, these issues persist for companies of all sizes.
