Road crews have repaved 317 lane miles of crumbling city roads on Oahu so far in 2013, already more work done than in any previous year on the books, city officials say. The news, part of a quarterly repaving report released Monday, bolsters Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s push to repair about 1,520 lane miles of degraded road in a five-year period.
