On March 10, HAPI conducted a training session for those taking Field Sampling & Testing Module Bituminous (Asphalt) Unit Exam. While the training is geared towards those taking the exam, it is opened to anyone interested in the subject. The story of the workshop is told by the captioned photos below.
Brent Ishikawa from HAPI member Geolabs, Inc. was the instructor. The session was attended by 7 people from HAPI members AECOM, Bow Construction Management Services, Bowers + Kubuta Consulting, R. M. Towill Corporation, SSFM International, and Yogi Kwong Engineers, LLC; a person from Halawa Asphalt also attended.
Was the workshop effective? We will see after the exams are given on March 20 and 22.
