The State Asphalt Pavement Associations (SAPA) held their winter meeting on February 5, 2016 at the La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California. The winter meeting is an all-day affair, starting with breakfast and ending with dinner. HAPI Executive Director Jon Young, attended representing Hawaii along with representatives from 28 other states.
The morning session focused on SAPA business. Highlights included approval of updated by-laws, a slide show tour of Des Moines, Iowa, which is the site of the 2016 SAPA Summer meeting, and Virginia sharing their experiences of establishing a “Virginia Education Center for Asphalt Technology.”
