9th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets (ICMPA9)

The Transportation Research Board (TRB), the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Virginia Tech, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) are organizing the 9th International Conference on Managing Pavement Assets (ICMPA9) in Alexandria, Virginia, located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, U.S.A.

The theme proposed for the conference is “Moving Pavement Management beyond the Short-Term: Embracing Innovation and Addressing Sustainability, Accountability, and Improved Performance.”

Topics of discussion will include:

• The “next generation” of pavement management systems;
• Sustainable design, construction, maintenance, and operation of pavement assets;
• Performance measurement, implementation targets and contractual requirements;
• Increasing the accountability of the various asset management stakeholders;
• Innovative, effective, and sustainable pavement management practices and applications
