Last night’s Wahine Connect 2026 was nothing short of inspiring. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to interview Karen Seddon of EAH Housing.
Her reflections on her early days in construction—navigating gender barriers, earning trust, and forging a path with resilience—added a powerful dimension to the evening
Karen left us all with a sense of appreciation for her and the path she forged for women in construction today.
Also, can we talk about the energy of the event for a moment?
Nearly 100 women, all baddies in their fields….suffice to say it was electrifying!
Cross-collaboration across industries—construction, engineering, real estate, hospitality, finance, tech, and community leadership—was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we lift each other up.
Grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s next: more mentorship, more doors opened, more momentum.
Mahalo to Karen, the participants, and all who contributed. Each of the following organizations were invited to share a 3–4-minute elevator speech about your organization.
