The rich aroma of freshly ground espresso filled the HAPI office as fifteen women from across Hawai‘i’s asphalt industry gathered for our Now Percolating coffee hour on October 10th. The group included asphalt contractors, design consultants, construction managers, project inspectors, and various other women in construction associations. A perfect blend of talent and experience.
HAPI Executive Director Brandon Lima served up handcrafted espresso drinks to kickstart the morning before Women of Asphalt Hawai‘i Branch Chair Lisa Miyahara and Vice Chair Jennifer Gallego Nakamoto gave a spirited presentation on the organization’s mission and upcoming initiatives.
Between sips of lattes and shots of inspiration, conversations flowed easily; proof that caffeine really does fuel both productivity and great networking. After all, when strong coffee meets strong women, big ideas start brewing.
