The room was filled to capacity for this all-day session.  The attendees were provided a basic understanding of materials, production, placement and compaction operation that combine to produce a quality asphalt pavement. Here’s what they had to say about the workshop:

– Great class.
– Great content and presenter was very knowledgeable.
– Jarrett is very good at interacting with everyone and getting their attention. Because of that, it was easy to absorb the content he was presenting.

And what did they remember most?
– The HAPI pop quiz
– Job Mix Formula Asphalt Binder Balancing Binder and Rocks
– Paving practices Compacting methods

The Next Level workshop (April 30th)

The audience was broken out into small groups of 3 to 5 people. The groups viewed the same video as if they were inspectors. The members discussed what they’re seeing – it could be right, it could be wrong. Just as if they were at the job site, the groups have to make that determination.

Once the groups were done assessing the video, everyone gathered for a discussion of the video led by the instructor. While the instructor guided the discussion, it is the attendees that ask questions, answer questions from their peers, and provide their insights.

We were able to review about 10 videos during the 3-hour session.

What did attendees have to say about “being the inspector”:
– Definitely great for networking and learning from different people with different level of experience.
– Was good working in groups.
– Enjoyed everything, all good!|

And what did they remember most?
– Good speaker and knowledge
– Very easy to understand Jarrett
– Coolest speaker

A majority of the attendees said that they would definitely recommend this workshop to a colleague, while the others said they would probably recommend the workshop.
