We were honored to have Dr. Adrian Ricardo Archilla, University of Hawaii, College of Engineering as our guest speaker. Dr. Archilla opened his presentation by thanking DFM (use of roads and providing traffic control) and HAPI members (donation of treatments and application) for their significant contributions to the implementation of the research project. He continued with a description of the project and concluded by sharing his observations of the treatments a year after their application. Click here for additional information about the project.
Dr. Archilla was joined by our other guests from the City and County of Honolulu:
– Ross Sasamura, DFM
– Lan Yoneda, DFM
– Kyle Oyasato, DFM
– Robert Kroning, DDC
– Jesse Broder Van Dyke, Mayor’s office
We have been encouraging non-members to attend our lunch meetings and there were two at this meeting: Paul Vierling of Hawaii Geophysical Services, LLC and Quincy Guzman of the Honolulu Club. Marcel Honore, reporter for the StarAdvertiser, also joined us to hear Dr. Archilla’s presentation.
Last but not least, a couple of visitors from the mainland, Tim Morris and his son Jared from HAPI Member Crafco Inc were also in attendance.
