Over the last few years, there have been numerous changes to Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA’s) trucking hours of service (HoS) regulations. Although FMCSA’s HoS regulations are only applicable to interstate transport, many state agencies apply them for intrastate transport as well. In December 2017, the agency’s newest requirement for electronic logging devices (ELDs) goes into effect for most drivers of commercial motor vehicles. Although some construction sectors have been afforded relief from some HoS requirements, NAPA petitioned FMCSA for additional relief which is under agency review with comments currently being accepted.

 Learning Objectives:

Learn from an industry expert about what is currently required under the HoS regulation and how to comment on the need for additional relief.
