Thanks to your involvement as members, we are always going forward! As your Executive Director, I ask for your continued assistance to promote our industry by supporting HAPI in several ways.
Contribute an article to our newsletter. Our monthly newsletter was launched two years ago and has featured a broad spectrum of projects executed by members offering a wide variety of asphalt-related services. People have shared how much they like reading about the projects and our members. As in the past, I will continue to watch for stories, but feel free to contact me if you have a project that you would like to share. A standard template will be provided to you to gather your information, and HAPI will draft the article for your review and comments.
Invite me to visit your projects. One of my goals is to visit a project site at least once a month. I hope to have the opportunity to visit a site for each member and would like the visits to cover a range of services that our members provide. The visits provide an opportunity for you to bring up concerns about field operations that we can address together, and could also offer a learning experience about new technologies.
Invite me to visit your office. It is one of my goals to meet each member, including their branch offices, at least once a year. The purpose of the meeting is update the staff on HAPI activities and to listen to any concerns or issues you may have about HAPI or the industry in general.
Provide an exhibit to be displayed on the office walls (see photos below). Visitors always notice the various exhibits hung on the walls. An item from members always provides an opportunity to share something about our association and could promote your services as well.
Enter our annual photo contest for members. The contest runs during the month of September. To learn more, please Click here for a report of our first annual contest.
Refer the media to me. One of my roles is to represent the industry with the media. If you are approached by the media about an industry-wide issue or concern, please feel free to refer the inquiry to me.
Refer questions to me. From time to time you may receive an inquiry from design consultants or government agencies. I am always available to address such inquiries and by doing so, may be able to save you some time and effort. In addition, it will encourage people to contact HAPI as the resource for asphalt industry inquiries.
