HAPI Lunch Meeting – Janauary 2019

Our January lunch meeting held on January 11th, was a great way to kick-off the new year.  Members and invited guest had the chance to catch-up wtih each other and to meet our 2019 scholarship reciepient.

In late 2018,  we announced our first annual Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry Scholarship. The goal of this scholarship is to assist college students pursing a degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction engineering, and other degrees related to the design and construction infrastructure improvements.  The program of the meeting was to meet each scholarship recipient, who introduced themselves to the members by giving a brief account of the reason for applying for our scholarship and their thoughts on their career path.

Following his lunch meeting tradition, Jon presented Robert Kroning (DDC) with his appreciation gift to the members and industry partners.  The recipient of the gift is from a drawing.
