On August 26, HAPI conducted a training session for those taking Field Sampling & Testing Module Bituminous (Asphalt) Unit Exam. While the training is geared towards those taking the exam, it is opened to anyone interested in the subject.
The session was attended by 9 people from HAPI members Bowers + Kubuta Consulting, Road Builders Corporation, and TM Designers, Inc. Brent Ishikawa from HAPI member Geolabs, Inc. was the instructor.
Was the workshop effective? Those that responded to our after the exam survey all reported passing the exam.
Comments from the attendees:
– Great prep class and I think everyone should take this before the exam.
– The exercise to identify errors for the practical exam was good.
– The outline for the verbal portion of the exam will be very helpful.
– People who conducted the workshop were friendly and facility are accommodating.
– Class encouraged participation.
The next workshop is scheduled for February 2018 in preparation for the exam in March.
