Grace Pacific Corp. will start the first phase next week of a $14.25 million City and County of Honolulu project to improve roads in several areas.
The work is scheduled to start in Kalihi Valley on Monday and could take at least four months in that area alone, said Grace Pacific Project Manager Derrick Tanabe.
Other areas that will be worked on during the nine-month project are Ewa Beach, West Loch and Ewa Villages.
Tanabe said Grace Pacific is using three subcontractors but didn’t know how many workers will be hired. AECOM Pacific Inc. is the project’s construction manager.
The work will include repaving roads, reconstructing concrete curbs and gutters and redoing pavement striping and other markings.
