“Talk Story with Chris Lubbers” workshop was conducted on the four major islands. The topics covered echoed the materials covered in our Introduction to Modified Asphalt Seminar (click here for additional information). Our third workshop was on Maui at the HDOT Maui District office.

The workshop began Jon Young discussed the different asphalt mix types; where the mix produced with a modified asphalt has been used; and possible future uses.  With so many questions being asked during the presentation, it felt more like a discussion.  Chris Lubbers continued the workshop with highlights from his “Modified Asphalt 101” and “SBS-Modified Asphalt 101”.   The HDOT staff and consultants in attendance left with a better understanding of modified asphalts.

HAPI thanks the HDOT Maui District for the use of their office to conduct this workshop.
