Description:
This presentation by the Asphalt Institute (AI) will cover maintenance and rehabilitation techniques applicable to both roadway and Airport pavements. It was presented previously at the Airfield Construction Management Workshop of AAAE. Serviceability and performance, localized repair techniques (such as for cracks and alligatored areas), full width surface treatments, and mayor pavement rehabilitation strategies will be presented. Hot in place recycling (HIR), mill & fill, and the proper use of paving fabrics and stress absorbing membrane interlayers (SAMIs) will be shown and discussed. Proper materials selection is addressed in the presentation.

Bob will be available after 12:00 p.m. to answer questions.
