PaveXpress is free software tool based on the 1993 AASHTO Pavement Design Guide and 1998 Supplement. This tool allows users to design new pavement structures as well as calculate Asphalt overlay thickness for rehabilitation and maintenance projects. Version 3.0 will allow the user to determine traffic repetitions to failure based on mechanistic principles. Pavement structures designed using PaveXpress or directly input by the user can be analyzed. This new module will assist with determining if pavements are over or under designed. Along with the layered elastic module, a costing module has been added to PaveXpress. Using PaveXpress designed or directly input pavement structures, a cost estimate can be calculated.
