Program: When Mayor Caldwell took office, one of his top priorities was to upgrade the condition of the City’s roads. His proposed 5-year road repair and repaving program was approved by the City Council. The plan allowed for the completion of work to be done on all roads that have been identified as “degraded” or “unsatisfactory.” Mr. Sasamura will be discussing the City’s plans going forward now that the Mayor’s 5-year program is nearly an end. He will also be touching on the City’s Complete Streets program and the recently launched Biki program, Honolulu’s new favorite way to get around (on bicycles).
